What to expect

The Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for the electrical engineering planning and design of systems and components within the AI-based solutions developed by ProTecBird. The primary focus lies in the design of electrical engineering components and, based on this, the creation of electrical schematics, wiring documentation, and technical design documents for installations and systems in various technical application environments, particularly in the wind energy sector.

• Electrical engineering design and, for example, redesign of control cabinets
• Creation and maintenance of circuit diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8
• Electrical design and specification of components and cables in compliance with technical requirements and applicable standards
• Creation of layout plans, terminal diagrams, cable lists, and bills of materials
• Planning and documentation of electrical connections between sensors, control systems, power supply units, and other system components
• Support in the technical implementation of systems for wind turbines, airports, and industrial applications
• Coordination with development, operations, and project management for technical clarification and implementation
• Revision and adaptation of existing designs within the scope of product optimizations and customer-specific requirements
• Creation and maintenance of the associated technical documentation
• Support in commissioning preparations and technical project support

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in the electrical field, e.g. electronics technician, electrical installer, or a comparable qualification
• Technician, master craftsman qualification, or comparable advanced training in electrical engineering is an advantage
• Professional experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or in a comparable role with a focus on electrical planning and documentation
• Knowledge of integrating electrical engineering components into complex technical systems
• Very good knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8
• Experience in electrical design and in creating electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and wiring diagrams
• Experience in the specification and design of cables and electrical components
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and technical documentation
• Structured, careful, and standards-compliant working methods in electrical design
• High degree of personal responsibility and strong team-oriented communication skills for coordination with adjacent departments
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken; English skills are an advantage
